A Trip to Centennial Lakes

Tom and I love to go to Centennial Lakes in Edina. We took Kathryn there a last week. She really enjoyed the walk, going through the maze with her dad, and looking at ALL of the water fountains. Kathryn LOVES the water!

Swimming

Kathryn went swimming for the first time on Father's Day. She was not quite sure what to think of the COLD water. We think she prefers heated pools. She enjoyed swimming with Klemintine though.

Father's Day (again)

It sure was a busy day with my Daddy. After breakfast with grandma and grandpa, mommy, daddy, and I went to the lake Harriet Rose Garden and Peace Garden. Here daddy was showing me some things about roses and singing a song to me. The lyrics went something like this:
"Kathryn is the most beautiful rose in this great big place,
I really like to look at her oh so beautiful face" and so on.
Daddy makes up songs all the time and sings them to me. Grandpa sings to me too, so if nobody sang to me it just wouldn't be a very good Father's Day! I sure love you guys!!

(Grand)Father's Day

I had a really great first Father's Day. It all started when I got to go to breakfast with my grandpa. He sure is awesome. I'm glad he's feeling better too, because I want him to be around for a long, long time. Happy (Grand)Father's Day grandpa! You rock!

First Father's Day

Today was my first Father's Day and I got something for my daddy that he'll really use and love: grill tools! He sure loves cooking on that big grill of his, and mommy loves it too because it is less dishes for her to wash. I look forward to spending lots more Father's Days with my Dada!

Yuck...Green Beans

"Today my mommy started me on some yucky green looking food. She tried to trick me by putting it with my cereal. What a way to ruin the cereal. I was good though and ate most of the green stuff. I wonder what's on the menu for tomorrow?"

Time with Aunt Ellen

"I wanted Aunt Ellen's water bottle so bad last Sunday. It was a VERY hot day!"

Reading the Bible

"Da Da (that is what I call my daddy) and I are reading the book of John together. He wanted to start with the book of Romans, but I talked him into a little lighter reading material."

I'm Six Months Old

"Today, I turned 6 months old. I celebrated by going to the doctor for my shots. I thought it was pretty neat that I got to see Dr. Sheely on my "birthday". He was the first one to see me when I was born. He is SO cool, but he always says, 'being cute will not get you out of your shots.'"

We're Flying

"Where are we going Uncle Kaare? We seem to be flying, but we only end up on the floor?!"

So Tired

All of this rolling around business is so tiring for Kathryn. One day she had just had enough and decided to take a little snooze.

I'm Rolling

"Watch Out...here I come! Yesterday I was tired of hanging out underneath my gym...so I tipped it over and then decided to roll into the dining room. I hit a wall though..and could not go any further. My mom came and rescued me. By then it was time to go to Grandpa and Grandma's."
