Happy Birthday Daddy!

Tom's birthday is the 26th of December...So, Kathryn got up early(nothing new there!!!) and made him his favorite, blueberry muffins. Then, Tom opened up some presents and we then headed to the mall to go shopping. (Tom's idea!!!)
Kathryn gave Tom a baseball mit so he could play baseball with her in the spring. (Kathryn got one from Santa yesterday. HMMM.... what a coincidence!!!)

Christmas Shots

Christmas Eve was at my mom and dad's...This year cousins Ben, Katie and Amy joined us. (We missed you Uncle Steve and Cousin Sarah.) We had a great evening together, despite missing some of our family who couldn't make it because of the snow storm that hit MN. Christmas Day AM we went back to my mom and dad's because Santa left some gifts at their house from Santa. We had a great couple of days celebrating Christmas!!!

Kathryn's Christmas Gifts to Tom and I

Kathryn wanted to get Tom and I both "Hold Blankies" for Christmas. Kathryn has one and thought we both needed one. So, Tom got a blue one and I got an orange one...colors and styles chosen by Kathryn herself. Here we are trying them on after we opened them on Christmas.

Kathyrn's 1st Church Christmas Program

Kathryn was part of the Sunday School Christmas play. She had one song...."Shining Star". Kathryn did a great job. (she was the only one in her age group that actually stayed on stage and sang the song!!!)

Gingerbread Houses

Kathryn and I did lots of Christmas baking yesterday...and among the goodies, were gingerbread houses (obviously not to eat...but for something fun to do). She enjoyed making them until her hands got "ishy" from the frosting.

Meeting with Santa

Kathryn visited with Santa the other night. (She looks scared, but really...she wasn't) She went right up to him, sat on his lap and informed him that all she wanted for Christmas was stickers. I think Santa can come through for her this year with her request!!!!

Baker...in the making!

Home
Kathryn loves to bake cookies, muffins and other goodies with her grandma. Here Kathryn is "making" blueberry muffins. She even got creative and took apart her candy necklace and used the candy as blueberries.

Happy Birthday Kathryn!

Kathryn had a birthday party on Saturday. Thank you to all her friends and family that came to help her celebrate. She enjoyed having all of you there!

Birthday Dinner at Chuck E. Cheese

Kathryn turned 3 on Friday...and to celebrate the 3 of use went to Chuck E. Cheese for pizza and games. Kathryn LOVED it! She enjoyed the rides and playing ski-ball. Kathryn decided that since she couldn't get any of the balls in the holes from where she was standing that she would just walk right up to the holes and throw them in. It was so fun to see her! I have to admit...she had some good problem solving skills!

Happy Birthday Kathryn! We love you!

Celebrating Kathryn's Birthday....a few days early...

Kathryn turns 3 on Friday...we cannot believe it! Our baby girl is not a baby anymore....according to Kathryn, " I am not a baby, I am little girl". We enjoyed a family dinner on Sunday to start the birthday celebrations! I cannot wait until Friday.... I took the day off from work to spend with Kathryn! I am going to her school to bring birthday treats and read a story to her class, then we are going out for lunch and probably a trip to Target ( that is her favorite store and whenever I ask her where she wants to go, that is the answer I get!!!!!) When Tom gets home from work, we are going to celebrate some more!
