Cabin Get-A-Way

Tom and I took the girls up to the cabin for a couple of days...it was so nice to just relax and have a little family fun! Kathryn enjoyed swinging on the new swing set, playing soccer, building a fire with her dad and making smores! Emily enjoyed sleeping and enjoying the great outdoors.

Kathryn's Fishing Trip

Uncle Kyle and Aunt Ellen went fishing with Kathryn (and Tom, Emily and I) last Friday. We had a great time. (and made it home just before the BIG storm hit!) Kathryn caught more fish than Uncle Kyle did! She was so proud of the fish....but would not take the fish off the hook. She thinks that they are "ishy". Lucky Kathryn....Uncle Kyle came to the rescue and took care of the fish. ***Note*** Kathryn's fishing outfit!!

We enjoyed dinner last night with my grandma.... here grandma is with Kathryn and Emily.

Happy Father's Day, Daddy!

The girls and I took Tom to the Lake Harriet Rose Gardens for Father's Day. This is Tom's favorite thing to do on Father's Day...we have done this several years in a row now...and will more than likely continue to go for years to come!

Kathryn and I walked up to our local coffee shop the other day(well, Emily was with us too, but she did not walk and slept the entire time)....to enjoy a latte and cinnamon roll!

Dinner with Kaare, Michelle and Quin

Kaare and Michelle brought over dinner last night...so we enjoyed some time together. Notice the shoe attire on Quin and Kathryn...that is what happens when you leave the two of them alone for a few seconds!

Nap Time....

WHEW...what a busy week we have had. A trip to the mall, Como Zoo and Uncle Kyle's Park......resulted in several naps this week...by all of us. Kathryn fell asleep like this! And, Emily was swinging and fell asleep. Needless to say...they were left where/how they fell asleep.

Meeting our Good Friends...The Moe's

Emily had her first "dinner" out last Saturday with our friends, The Moe's. Their girls were super excited to meet Emily...and Kathryn was excited to show off her little sister.

Our Trip to the Como Zoo

We took the girls to Como Zoo this week....Kathryn loved the polar bears, zebras and giraffes....Emily...well, slept through the entire trip!

On the Way Home.....

Emily and I went home from the hospital on Wednesday.....we are ALL getting use to a new family member and routine.....I must say, this time around is much easier! We are eating meals at the normal times! (with Kathryn, Tom and I were remembering how we would eat lunch at 3:00 and dinner at 8:00.)

Tom and I are looking forward to the summer with our girls...including Klemintine!

Kathryn is a BIG SISTER!

Kathryn is HAPPY to announce that Emily Gladys was born on May 31 at 7:39 PM. She weighed 7 lbs,15 oz. and is doing great! Kathryn is amazed by her little sister. (Tom and I are thankful Kathryn's wish came true for a sister. Otherwise, Kathryn said the baby boy could go live with my mom and dad!)
