Daddy's Birthday

"We celebrated daddy's birthday on the 26th. Mommy and I surprised him with a back massager. We think his favorite gift was the knitting loom from grandpa and grandma. Daddy wants to learn how to knit. We are sitting at one of our favorite coffee shops enjoying daddy's birthday.

Christmas Day

Kathryn enjoyed opening gifts on Christmas Day. She fell asleep early the night before, so she did not get to open gifts. Klemintine and Kramer enjoyed some doggy treats too. Tom was thrilled with the magnets that Kathryn got. He can't wait to play with them.

Christmas Eve

Kathryn wanted to help Grandma in the kitchen. Kathryn made sure that the lutefisk was properly cooked. Kathryn did have her first taste with lutefisk. We are not sure what she thought;although she didn't spit it out, so it must have been ok. Grandpa was being silly with showing off Aunt Karen's new nightgown. Uncle Kyle, Aunt Ellen, Uncle Kaare and Aunt Michelle were enjoying some family time!

An Early Christmas Eve

The 4 of us (yes...Klem too) celebrated Christmas Eve during the day on the 24th. Kathryn got under the tree early and opened up a gift. At least it was hers. Klem enjoyed some treats as well.

Piano Lessons

"Mommy gave me my first piano lesson last week. She taught me the "C" scale even though I wanted to go right into "Away in a Manger."

Time with Grandpa

"Grandpa came over to take our Christmas card picture. I was able to steal a picture with him. "

Enjoying My First Steak

"Uncle Kyle, see...I ate the entire steak...all gone...yummy! Next, I think I will try some venison."

Latte Anyone?

Kathryn is already taking after me...she went for the latte machine today.

My First Haircut

"Today I got my first haircut. Rosie said I was so good. She also said that I did better than when my mom got her first haircut. I guess mom screamed?!"

Sick with the Flu

"I got the flu over the weekend. I was miserable. I even tried to call grandma and grandpa to see if they could make it all better."

Time with Family

"My aunt Kris was here and my new cousin Joey. I spent a lot of time with Joey and Aunt Kris last week. I will admit, I was a bit jealous when grandma was holding Joey. But, aunt Kris spoiled me while she was here. Time with family on Friday night was a lot of fun too!

More parties

Kathryn had a Dr. Seuss theme birthday party. She had lots of family and friends over to help her celebrate. She had so much fun!

Birthday Celebrations

Kathryn had her 1st birthday on December 4. We cannot believe she is already 1. She is not a baby anymore..... she is a little girl. Here are some highlights from her birthday parties. She loved her Sesame Street Car, her new shoes and her birthday cake! It was a special birthday for Kathryn because her aunt Kris (and godmother) was able to celebrate with her.

My 1st Birthday

"On my birthday, I had great grandma's macaroni and cheese. It was yummy. I requested the mac and cheese a long time ago and great grandma came through.

Swimming with my uncles and aunts

"When we were in Fergus last weekend, I was able to swim! I was so lucky because Uncle Kyle, Aunt Ellen, Uncle Kaare and Aunt Michelle went swimming with me."
