Another Trip to the Zoo

Kathryn and I went to the MN Zoo again ...this time with Michelle and cousin Quin. It was Quin's 1st trip to the zoo. Kathryn got to hold a baby chick. I let Kathryn walk by the water sprinklers....not really thinking she would actually go in and get wet; I was wrong. After a few minutes Kathryn was drenched. She loved it!

Kathryn's Summer Fun!

Kathryn continues to have a fun and eventful summer. Here are a few pictures of the past weekend....coffee time with Grandma, installing a fountain in the backyard with daddy, mac and cheese from Cici's Pizza, and setting the table for dinner.

Kathryn's First Golf Game

Kathryn had her 1st golf lesson last night. Her dad taught her the "real" way to golf and Uncle Kaare taught her how to play golf with the Nemo ball. She enjoyed that!!

Kathryn and Quin

Kathryn enjoyed time with her new cousin Quin. She absolutely loved holding him and laying next to him. I think that they will be good buddies!

Time with Paula, Sophie and Grace

Paula and I got together with our girls today. We took a trip to Centennial Lakes for a kids concert and then went to lunch. The girls were great! They have such a good time together.

A trip to Como Zoo

Tom, Kathryn and I went to Como Zoo on Monday. Kathryn absolutely loved the giraffes and was terrified of the gorillas. When Mr. Gorrilla came to the window to "see" her, Kathryn jumped into Tom's arms. Another favorite of Kathryn's at the zoo is the water mister. She loves to stand under the mister and get wet. A great way to cool off!

Mini Van....NOT!

No, we DID NOT get a mini-van. However, I had the opportunity to drive one for 3 weeks while our truck was being repaired after it was hail damaged. Tom thought it would be a good trial drive for me because he thinks we should get a mini van. Kathryn and I have decided that we will stick with the truck....Klemintine will too!

Hey Look!

Baby Quin

Tom, Kathryn and I got to babysit Quin the other night while Kaare and Michelle went out. We had a lot of fun. Kathryn was enjoying her new cousin. She was trying to play with him, but he was more interested in sleeping. He did wake up long enough for Tom to give him his first astronomy lesson. (Tom took him outside to look at the stars and moon.)

Whip Cream

"Daddy took me to get lattes for him and mom the other night. The nice lady at Caribou gave me a cup of whip cream! I usually have the whip cream off of mom's mocha's, but this time, I got my own! YUMM!"

A Day at the MN Zoo!

Kathyrn and I met our friends, Holly, Madeleine and Katherine at the MN Zoo today. We had a great time. Kathryn feed the baby goats, but as you can see, she did not get too close. The girls also saw baby chickens and pigs. Kathryn enjoyed the sprinkler park that they have at the zoo. We were at the zoo several hours today! Someone got so tired that she was out before we got in the car to come home. We had a great day!

Reading With Grandpa

" My favorite book is "Love You as Much". I usually make my mommy read it to me several times a day. But, Grandpa was over tonight and I got him to read it to me at least 3 times. However, Grandpa was sneaky and tried to skip some pages. HMMMM..... "

2 for the Price of 1 !!!

We found out today that Kathryn has lymes disease. She got bit 2 times on her arm. WOW! Not once but twice! She woke up today and looked at her arm and got this sad look on her face like something was wrong. Kathryn showed Dr. Sheely her arm today and he was quite impressed with how the marks looked. The nurses even came in to take a look at the marks. Apparently they were nice ones! We are thankful that we caught it early enough and that she will be ok with a little antibiotics.

Grandpa had to come over tonight and check on Kathryn! He made her feel so much better! She even got Grandpa to read to her and play dolls with her.

4th of July

Happy 4th of July, Family and Friends! Kathryn enjoyed some time with Grandpa, Grandma, Great Grandma, Uncle Kyle and Aunt Ellen today. Oh, we cannot forget Klemtine and Stanley. Kyle and Ellen's puppy joined us for dinner. He is adorable and Kathryn and Klem love him. They had fun playing frisbee together with Kyle and Tom.

Kathryn's New Cousin!

We welcomed a new member into the Kvenild family this week. Kaare and Michelle had their baby on Sunday. Quintin Irving. We are very happy for them. Kathryn is not quite sure what to think of the "puppy". (that is what she has been calling Quin) I think with time, they will become good buddies!
