Family Get-Away

Tom and I decided to take Kathryn to a hotel for a night.... we all needed a little fun after the last month of being sick and a crazy and hectic work schedule. We enjoyed dinner out on Friday night (cotton candy for desert as you can see from Kathryn eating the whole thing!), LOTS of swimming, and then lunch out on Saturday before heading home.

A trip to Como Zoo

A couple of weeks ago we all had the day off from school! So...we headed out to breakfast and then to the Como Zoo. The weather was beautiful and it was nice to get outside and walk (without freezing!) Kathryn enjoyed the giraffes and the big tiger!

Kris, remember when you used to eat butter by the spoonful in your younger days?? (oops, just let your secret out) Well, this picture if for you...your god daughter spooning about 1/3 of a stick of butter onto her bread on New Years Day! Kaare found it hilarious and had to show you the end result of the bread and butter!

Kathryn was kind of , well, really, out of sorts yesterday...still recovering from her phenomia, so she was not herself. The only thing she wanted to eat was butter. Now, I had to remind everyone that the doctor said to let her eat what she wanted and when she wanted. (she has not been eating much since Tuesday) Somehow, I don't think he meant 1/3 of a stick of butter at one time though. YUCK!
